The radiological department provides the entire scope of imaging methods required for trauma care at any time.
Radiology is centrally available for the entire trauma center, and with regard to cross-sectional diagnostic imaging we also offer our services to patients coming from surrounding clinics.
Besides conventional (digitalized) x-ray techniques we perform the entire range of all general diagnostic radiology techniques at any time day and night.
These include examinations with contrast agent, e.g. examination of vessels of the trunk and vessels supplying the brain. Interventional radiological procedures are CT-controlled and performed by using fluoroscopy.
Modern high-tech state-of-the-art cross-sectional imaging procedures are performed by means of two multislice computer tomographs (MSCT 4 channels and 64 channels respectively) and two magnetic resonance tomographs (MRT 1.5 Tesla and 3.0 Tesla).
