With a staff of 20 and its state-of-the-art technology, the IT department provides a high standard of efficiency in the clinic. We train and support over 1400 active users. With its high availability through our server concept, up to 4 terabytes of data storage can be provided for long term archiving of patient data. The federal data protection laws are abided by through high data integrity of secure patient data.
Since 2001, all processes in the individual departments, such as the processing of electronic-patient files, employee and accounting services and supply procurement through SAP R3 / ISH Med, have been included. This milestone insures smooth data transfer and availability throughout the clinic. In combination with PACS, X-ray images from MR and CT are digitized and archived.
The strategic goal of the IT department includes the establishment of a clinic-wide-net; so called medical competence centers (via Tele-medicine). In this manner, high amounts of data can be transferred long distances in order to provide optimal information for diagnosis or therapeutic interventions. Consequently, the constant, further development of multimedia interfaces at each workplace is a requirement which is unavoidable.
