Research at BGU Murnau
Explore, invent, test - interdisciplinary and practice
Scientific research at BGU Murnau follows two important principles: It aligns itself in terms of the service obligation of the statutory accident insurance for the benefit of the patients, and it systematically brings together the interdisciplinary expertise of many specialists. Physicians, physicists, engineers and sports scientists work together on the patient care of the future.
Trauma surgery and orthopedic issues are the focus of the research work of the Institute of Biomechanics. Their connection to the Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg bridges the gap between academic science and clinic-based practice. As an academic teaching hospital of the Technical University of Munich, the clinic creates another connection: that of practice-oriented research and application to practical teaching.
The contents of the research are:
- Mechanical tests
- Numerical Simulation and Imaging
- Gait and Motion Analysis
- Clinical studies
To ensure high quality standards in research, since 2009 the BGU Murnau has had a quality management system which complies with DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008 and is TUV certified.
