Besides acute care, rehabilitation is another key element of our clinic.
Our rehabilitation department is divided into three sections, in order to meet the needs of the individual patients regarding their injuries: the workman’s compensation rehabilitation clinic takes care of trauma patients with injuries concerning limbs and torso.
The goal of rehabilitation in this section is to help the patient return to the highest level of function and independence possible, while reintegrating her/him into work life.
Neurorehabilitation treats patients having severe head injuries and suffering neurological deficits therefore requiring a specific therapy.
This section involves ergotherapists, physiotherapists and often also speech/language therapists. The third unit of rehabilitation is designed to meet the needs of paraplegia patients and focuses on maximizing the patient's capabilities.
Patients with “fresh” paraplegia learn here how to return to the highest level of independency depending on their individual levels of paralysis in order to be relatively autonomous in daily life. Provision of auxiliary means is also provided for by this unit.
